Jollibee Food Corps. (JFC) recently announced the approval of their board of directors to bring America’s largest Chinese food chain, Panda Express, to the Philippines. The chain of restaurants announced five initial branches to be opened in the capital city very soon.

According to co-founder and co-CEO of Panda Express Andrew Cherng, partnering up with JFC will add great value and significance to his business.

He added, “We look forward to tapping into JFC’s market expertise to grow the Panda Express brand into a household name in the Philippines and, more importantly, actioning our shared value of inspiring people to better their lives.”

Tony Tan Caktiong, chairman of JFC believes that Panda Express’ branding is in line with their company. He shared with the stock exchange, “JFC and Panda join hands to introduce American Chinese food, a globally-influenced cuisine inspired by authentic Chinese culinary principles, to the Philippines.”

Currently, Panda Express is operating in the US, Canada, Mexico, Korea, Japan, and Russia and JFC is excited to add the Philippines to the list.
