MANILA– Looking to shore up its wing rotation, GlobalPort has taken the services of former Lyceum player Jebb Bulawan, the PBA announced on Friday.

Bulawan, who became prominent by winning the 2015 NCAA Slam Dunk Contest, was selected in the third round — 31st overall — by Meralco in last year’s PBA Draft.

However, the club did not sign him up, relegating him to the free agents list.

The Batang Pier picked the six-foot-four Bulawan from free agency, hoping to solidify its small forward rotation. They then waived veteran guard Jeff Viernes and rookie guard Michael Juico in the process.

Bulawan is eligible to play on Saturday, when GlobalPort takes on Alaska on Saturday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Batang Pier and the Aces collide at 4:30 p.m., just before the Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters battle the Magnolia Hotshots at 6:45 p.m.
Magnolia also made a new signing in Curtis Kelly.

Kelly, who was officially measured by the league at a shade below six-feet-eight, will be the Hotshots’ new import, replacing Vernon Macklin.
