Vancouver, BC – The Board of BC’s M.O.S.A.I.C. Multi-lingual Orientation Service Association for Immigrant Communities (MOSAIC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Olga Stachova as its new Chief Executive Officer.  Ms. Stachova will take over her new position on July 1st from the current Executive Director Eyob Naizghi who will finish the transitional arrangement agreed with the board on June 30th 2018. Under Eyob’s leadership, MOSAIC has become an effective multi-million dollar immigrant services organization respected by its funders, by Lower Mainland communities and above all by its clients.

Announcing the appointment of Ms. Stachova, Board chairperson Mehran Kiai noted “Olga joins MOSAIC as CEO with the experience and energy to lead our organization into the next stages of its development. As Canada and BC respond to an unprecedented number of international migrants, MOSAIC will need to become more efficient, innovative and expand its sources of funding. Olga’s outstanding organizational skills, strategic planning, financial acumen and experience in developing partnerships will be invaluable to MOSAIC.”

MOSAIC has served immigrant, newcomer and refugee communities in Metro Vancouver for the past 42 years. It has an annual budget of $20 million plus with more than 300 staff, 450 volunteers and 300 contractors. Services are delivered from 26 client-accessible sites and include settlement assistance, English language training,  employment programs, interpretation and translation, counselling services, and community outreach for families and individuals, including children, youth and seniors.

MOSAIC is one of the largest settlement organizations in Canada. Provincially, MOSAIC provides more employment support and programs than any other immigrant-serving organization in BC.

Olga Stachova moves to MOSAIC after a long career at Mitacs, where she is currently the Chief Operating Officer.
