PDEA to release narco-list within the week

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron Aquino is set to release to the public within the week the ‘verified’ list of barangay officials included in President Rodrigo Duterte’s drug watch list.

Speaking over DZMM, Aquino said that the ‘narco list’ are validated reports, and evidences against the people on it have been gathered.

The list is composed mostly of barangay captains and some barangay kagawads, totaling to 297, but due to several arrests and deaths, the count had decreased to 216, Aquino said.

He added that as of now, 16 barangay captains and 25 barangay kagawads on the narco list have been arrested.
