It may have been an issue that made netizens charge against one of their own to defend him, but Luis Manzano called onto his supporters, fans, and other netizens to let go of the issue.

Luis, in his years of hosting, has been known to be generous to contestants, offering assistance to some of those that he has encountered in the shows he was in. For his birthday special of “I Can See Your Voice,” once again, Luis crossed paths with a contestant he wished to extend his hand to.

Before the world could know the story as the show airs on weekends, a netizen on Twitter already spilled the beans that she was the daughter of the contestant that Luis chose to help. Instead of gratitude though, she seemed to not be satisfied with the help.

Sana ‘wag nila i-edit bukas na 10k lang binigay ni Luis Manzano sa debut (I hope they do not edit tomorrow that Luis Manzanao only gave us 10k  for my debut),” the netizen tweeted, followed by a series of other tweets of similar content.

Gusto pang gamitin ‘yung picture namin sa debut para proof p***** kami gumastos nun (They even want to use our photo in the debut as proof w**** we funded it),” she added.

Luis also took to Twitterverse his reaction, saying that it was a friend who informed him.

According to Luis, Sir Soldier after the show told him that he only wanted a ‘simple’ celebration for the debut, so the host-actor thought 10,000 pesos would suffice.

Pero kung kulang na kulang pa para sa’yo ang 10k na ambag ko sa sinabing simpleng handaang gusto, pa-DM (direct message) lang ng account details para madagdagan ko at ‘di ka na naman nagrereklamo online (But if the 10k I contributed is still not enough for the requested simple celebration, please DM me your account details so I can add more and you do not have to complain online),” Luis tweeted, even saying “sorry to her family and the party.”

Online users, not only Luis’s fans, but others that the viral post reached reacted negatively and started bashing and flaming the female netizen.

Luis revealed in an Instagram post that she has apologized, and called on to the users to stop the bashing and let it go as much as he appreciated everyone who defended and praised him.

“We are okay now, 100%. May I ask that everyone now give her a break and let it go? Thank you for the nice words and pagtanggol niyo sa akin (for defending me), I appreciate it…pero kawawa rin this young lady sa bashing (but this young lady is suffering from the bashing),” Luis wrote, including a screenshot of the said girl’s apology.

He also noted that the girl has apologized numerous times to him and that he has forgiven her for the online ruckus.
