NE monsoon to bring isolated rains in N. Luzon
MANILA—The northeast monsoon or amihan will bring isolated light rains in some areas of northern Luzon, state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Friday.
In its 24-hour weather forecast, Pagasa said the regions of Cordillera, Ilocos, and Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the province of Palawan, as well as the entire Visayas and Mindanao will be generally sunny, with afternoon rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Temperatures in Metro Manila will range at 25-31 degrees Celsius, Metro Cebu from 26-33 degrees Celsius, and Metro Davao at 25-32 degrees Celsius.
Due to the northeast monsoon, a gale warning is raised in northern Luzon.
