PAL to increase Manila-Australia flights in June
MANILA — Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) is increasing its Manila-Melbourne flight frequencies from thrice weekly at present to five times weekly starting June 1, it was announced on Wednesday.
In a statement, PAL Vice President for Sales Ryan Uy said the increased frequencies to Melbourne would also use the newly reconfigured Airbus A330s, which feature lie-flat business class seats and new premium economy and economy seats.
He added PAL has been receiving positive feedback about the Airbus A330’s new business class seats.
Flight PR 207 will depart Manila every Wednesday and Friday at 4:45 p.m., and will arrive in Melbourne at 3 a.m. (local time the following day). Flight PR 208 is scheduled to leave Melbourne every Thursday and Saturday at 5:40 a.m. (Local time) and will arrive in Manila at 10:55 a.m. on the same days.
Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, flight PR 209 will leave Manila at 9:10 p.m. to arrive in Melbourne at 8:30 a.m. (local time the following day). Every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, flight PR 210 will depart Melbourne at 10:15 a.m. local time to reach Manila at 3:30 p.m. on the same days.
Meanwhile, starting March 28, PAL will offer a non-stop, thrice weekly flights between Manila and Brisbane.
PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) that while PAL currently offers thrice weekly Manila-Brisbane frequencies, these flights have a stopover in Darwin.
She said passengers could look forward to flight PR 221 every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, scheduled to leave Manila at 11:30 p.m. and arrive in Brisbane at 9:20 a.m. (local time the following day).
Flight PR 222, on the other hand, will leave Brisbane every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at 11 a.
m. local time, and arrive in Manila at 5 p.m. on the same days.
