More Filipinos choose career over love life -SWS

MANILA, Philippines — Three out of five Filipinos chose career over love life, the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey revealed.

The Fourth Quarter 2017 of the SWS survey showed that 59% of Filipinos chose career over love life while 41% chose love life over career.

Moreover, 57% describe their love life as very happy, 29% say it could be happier, while 14% say they do not have a love life.

The survey also found out that 58% said it is possible to succeed in love life and career at the same time, 26% answered it is somewhat possible, 5% somewhat impossible, whereas 3% definitely impossible.

In addition, majorities of 60% among women and 57% among men choose career over love life and regardless of sex, singles prefer career over love life.

Also, majority 63% of men and 50% of women say they are very happy with their love life.

The study also revealed that 45% of younger single men aged 18-34 are happier with their love life compared to 45% of younger single women of the same age group.

Likewise, older singles tend to have no love life than younger singles.

The survey was conducted from December 8-16 using face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults with sampling error margins of ±3%.
