DPWH completes road, bridge repair along 21-km Catanduanes Circumferential Road
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) successfully completed under the “Build, Build, Build” program the two (2) big-ticket projects costing P867.8 million along Catanduanes Circumferential Road.
The improvement of 5.3-kilometer Viga-Bagamanoc Section and 16.2-kilometer Bacak-Minaile Section were completed in CY 2017 in the amount of P284.2 million and P583.6 million, respectively.
Director Virgilio C. Castillo of DPWH-Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) Roads Management Cluster I said both contracts involve paving of road, reconstruction of bridge, with drainage and slope protection component.
DPWH-UPMO Roads Management Cluster I is also implementing the improvement at the Minaile-Pandan Section of Catanduanes Circumferential Road which is now 50 percent completed.
The contract costing P1 Billion covers the construction of a 23.
7-kilometer road with shoulder, six (6) bridges with total length of 214 lineal meters, 10 concrete box culvert, drainage, and slope protection. It is aimed for completion on January 2019.
