Scattered rains continue over PH Sunday
MANILA — Scattered rains will continue to prevail over most parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday.
The state weather agency said the tail-end of a cold front affecting eastern Visayas will cause cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Visayas and Caraga.
Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and central Luzon will also experience cloudy skies with scattered rains. Ilocos Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to the northeast monsoon affecting Luzon.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, strong to gale force winds will prevail over the northern section of northern Luzon and eastern part of central and southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao. Coastal waters along these areas will be rough to very rough.
Moderate to strong winds will blow over the rest of Luzon with moderate to rough seas.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
