‘Traslacion’ generally peaceful: NCRPO
MANILA — This year’s “Traslacion” or Procession of the Black Nazarene has been “generally peaceful.”
This was the initial assessment of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) in a message Wednesday.
(NCRPO) Police Director Oscar Albayalde has declared that the ‘Traslacion’ which started from 5 a.m. Tuesday at the Luneta Grandstand to 3 a.m. Wednesday has been “generally peaceful”, NCRPO spokesperson Chief Insp. Kimberly Molitas said.
The procession is considered over once it arrives at the Quiapo Church.
Millions of devotees attended the procession which was secured by 5,613 police officers and 1,442 soldiers.
The Philippine Red Cross recorded 1,057 injuries.
