NE monsoon to bring rains over Metro Manila, parts of Luzon
MANILA — The northeast monsoon will cause isolated rains over Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon, the state weather bureau said Saturday morning.
The tail-end of a cold front is affecting the eastern part of central and southern Luzon, while the northeast monsoon affects the rest of Luzon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Cagayan Valley and Cordillera will have cloudy skies with scattered rains, while Metro Manila, Ilocos and the rest of central Luzon will experience cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains.
The tail-end of the cold front will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Aurora and Quezon.
The rest of the country, on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers, especially over the eastern section.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will blow from northeast to north over Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, light to moderate winds will prevail with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
