Faithful urged to pray for sick Iligan bishop

MANILA — Marawi City Bishop Edwin dela Pena is asking prayers for Iligan Bishop Elenito Galido who is in coma after suffering from liver cancer.

“Let us offer prayers for him…Let us storm heaven with our prayers,” he said in his Facebook page, Edwin dela Pena.

The head of the Catholic Bishops’Conference of the Philippines Episcopal Commission on Culture (CBCP-ECC) is in the intensive care unit at Mercy hospital in Iligan City.

On the other hand, the CBCP-ECC also urged the faithful to pray for Galido.

“We humbly ask for prayers for Bishop ElenitoGalido, DD, Chairman of the CBCP-ECC,” the group said in their Facebook account, @cbcpecc.

“He is currently in a comatose suffering from liver cancer. May God who has called him to serve give him formidable strength to overcome! Thank you,” the group said.
