MANILA —  The Philippine Atmospheric, Geographical  and Astronomical and Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday said while Typooon “Paolo” (international name Lan) has exited the country and is now in Japan, the country will continue to experience rains due to an Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

In its 24-hour weather forecast, PAGASA said the ITCZ is affecting Southern Luzon and the Visayas.

The regions of Bicol, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, the Zamboanga peninsula and Quezon province will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon.

Visayas, Mindoro and Palawan will likely have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters. Sea condition in the northern and eastern seaboards of northern Luzon is rough to very rough.

The state weather bureau has advised fishing boats and small seacraft not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.
