MANILA — Local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon have suspended classes on Friday (July 28) as tropical storm “Gorio” continues to enhance the southwest monsoon affecting Luzon.

Caloocan City – all levels, public and private

Las Piñas – all levels, public and private

Makati – all levels, public and private

Malabon – all levels, public and private

Mandaluyong City – all levels, public and private

Manila – all levels, public and private

Muntinlupa City — all levels, public and private

Navotas – all levels, public and private

Paranaque City – all levels, public and private

Pasay City – all levels, public and private

Pasig City – all levels, public and private

Pateros – all levels, public and private

Quezon City – all levels, public and private

San Juan City – all levels, public and private

Taguig City – all levels, public and private (morning classes only, wait for 11 a.m. announcement for afternoon, evening classes)

Valenzuela City – all levels, public and private

Bataan– all levels, public and private

Bulacan – all levels, public and private

Cavite – all levels, public and private

Zambales – all levels, public and private

Pampanga – all levels, public and private

San Jose del Monte, Bulacan – all levels, public and private

Earlier, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said moderate to occasionally heavy rains is expected over Metro Manila and western Luzon on Friday as tropical storm (TS) “Gorio” continues to enhance the southwest monsoon affecting the island.
