The bomb hit five police personnel, killing one of them and a civilian alleged as the perpetrator, Syafruddin added.
The dead victims were identified as Second Brigadier Topan Al Agung from the Jakarta Metro Police and civilian.
“It is temporarily assumed that a suicide bombing has (occurred),” Syafruddin disclosed.
All the victims have been rushed to the hospitals of Premier in Jatinegara and Budi Asih.
