Cops seize PHP1.3-M worth of drugs in Cebu southern town

Police identified the arrested suspects as Sonny Boy Solis Alivio, 23, and Marjun Ortega, 25, residents of the area.
Police anti-narcotics operatives launched the buy-bust operation at past 10:30 p.m. Thursday after conducting a test-buy on the suspects.
Police pounced on the two suspects after they handed a small plastic containing suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer in exchange of the PHP6,500 marked money.
Arresting policemen seized from the two suspects an estimate PHP1.3 million worth of shabu.
Police also recovered from Alivio’s possession PHP1,500 cash, drug paraphernalia and the marked money.
Police are preparing criminal charges against the two for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
