Hamilton man killed in altercation identified
Hamilton police have released the name of a man killed in the city’s east end Saturday.
Investigators were called to a disturbance, where they found 40-year-old Melvin Jn’Marie suffering from life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to Hamilton General Hospital and pronounced dead.
Police haven’t released his cause of death, but they say that the incident that led to his death “started as a minor altercation” and “quickly escalated.
”
They say Jn’Marie likely knew his killer, and they don’t believe there’s a danger to the public at large.
