Various King’s Family brand dumplings recalled due to undeclared egg
OTTAWA –Various King’s Family Inc. brand dumplings are being recalled because they contain egg, which is not declared on the label.
People with an allergy to egg should not consume the recalled products as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction, says the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
The CFIA, which triggered the recall, says there have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these products.
However, the agency is conducting a food safety investigation of Vancouver-based King’s Family, which may lead to other products being recalled.
The following recalled products in 260-gram sizes have been sold in British Columbia: King’s Family Beef Dumpling, King’s Family Chicken Dumpling, King’s Family Fennel & Pork Dumpling, King’s Family Lamb Dumpling, King’s Family Mushroom & Shrimp Dumpling and King’s Family Vegetable & Pork Dumpling.
If you have any of the recalled products in your home, the CFIA says they should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.
