MANILA–The Sandiganbayan Fifth Division has reset the trial of the graft case filed against former Makati City Mayor Elenita Binay to March 29, 2017.
The case involves the alleged anomalous purchase of office partitions and furniture for the Makati City Hall amounting to PHP72.

The prosecution was supposed to present their witness former Makati City Vice Mayor Ernesto Mercado on Wednesday, however, he could not attend the hearing because he was experiencing hypertension and diabetes.
The Sandiganbayan Fifth Division had earlier said that the trial will be conducted every Wednesday, but it was cancelled due to the pending resolution of the motions filed by both parties in the case.
