Occasional heavy rains, thunderstorms due to tail-end of cold front in Eastern Visayas Friday

A—Cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flash floods and landslides will be experienced in Eastern Visayas as the tail-end of a cold front continues to affect the area, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Friday.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA added that cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms is expected over Mindanao and the rest of the Visayas and Palawan.
PAGASA weather forecaster Shelly Ignacio said the northeast monsoon is still affecting Luzon.
Cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over Bicol region and Calabarzon, while partly to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over the rest of Luzon.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from northeast will prevail over the entire archipelago with moderate to rough seas, PAGASA said.
