Man, 28, killed in east end Toronto shooting, 4 wounded in other shootings
TORONTO—One person has died and four other people are injured after four separate shootings in Toronto early Sunday.
A 28-year-old man was pronounced dead in hospital after emergency crews were called to a shooting (in the Ellesmere and McCowan roads area) around 4:30 a.m.
There is no word on suspects.
A man and woman in their 20’s are in hospital after gunfire erupted at a private party (on Niagara Street west of Bathurst Street) around 2:30 a.m., and continued on the street.
Paramedics say the man suffered a gunshot wound to the head, while the woman was shot in the leg.
Police say several people were arrested nearby when officers located a stolen vehicle, but police aren’t yet sure whether there’s any connection to the shooting.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man has life-threatening injuries after being shot several times (on Wakunda Place, near O’Connor Drive and Victoria Park Avenue.)
And police say a male who was shot in the back (in the Bathurst and Dupont streets area) has serious injuries. (680 News)
