Peace and order in Davao is a myth – Roxas

MANILA – Liberal Party presidential candidate for 2016 said that the peace and order situation in Davao City is just a myth.

“The peace and order in Davao City is just an imagination and a myth. I have nothing against them, and I’m just telling what the statistics indicates,” said Mar Roxas, adding that Davao City is placing fourth of having crime incidents in the Philippines.

Comparing his leadership style with Duterte, Roxas brought up the Philippine National Police’s improved crime solution with his program “Oplan Lambat-Sibat” during his term as secretary of Interior and Local Government.

He said that the crime rate in Metro Manila brought down the crime rate under his anti-crime program from 918 cases down to 300 cases per week.

Roxas also added that violence and killing are not a solution to crime incidents, but it can be solved through systematic and peaceful means.
