Pia Wurtzbach wants Aquino to wish her luck

MANILA – Miss Universe-Philippines 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, who has been romantically linked to President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, admitted that she has been waiting for him to wish her luck in the nearing international pageant.

“His ‘good luck’ is actually really lucky because he wished Bea Rose Santiado ‘good luck’ for Miss International [in 2013] and she won, so I’m waiting for my good luck… A ‘good luck’ from him is definitely appreciated,” Wurtzbach said in an interview with Mornings @ ANC.

The 26-year-old beauty queen also confessed exchanging text messages with the President.

Earlier reports claimed seeing the two on a dinner date at Bellini’s Italian Restaurant in Quezon City last March.

“He is surrounded by people who are so serious all the time… So whenever I talk to him, I’m brave with my questions like I ask him questions that maybe other people would be afraid to ask him; like his favorite pastime, what kind of music he listens to… little things.

I guess it caught him by surprise, so that’s when the casual, fun conversation started,” she shared.

“I don’t think he’ll take interest in me if he didn’t find me interesting or fun to talk to,” she added.

It can be recalled that presidential sister Kris Aquino earlier asked Wurtzbach if the pageant queen was dating her brother.

Wurtzbach, for her part, neither denied nor confirmed dating the President but admitted how she enjoyed talking about ‘anything under the sun’ with him.

“I know him. I talk to him. Yes, he’s very fun to talk to,” she said, mentioning that they were both busy with their respective duties so they did not have much time to get to know each other more.

“He’s a very busy man. I’m also very busy preparing for Miss Universe,” she added.
