PSHS students to showcase robotics at SMX on July 27
MANILA – On Day 4 of the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW), students from different Philippine Science High School (PSHS) regional campuses will showcase robotics and interactive science inventions at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The exhibit, dubbed as “Pisay, maka-Science dito!” will be showcased from 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. It aims to enhance the students’ science experience, educate the public on the different Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-related programs and projects available. It also aims to create possible linkages between the community and other DOST-affiliated institutions.
Furthermore, the activity is part of the “Grassroots S&T Program: Working with the Community in Developing S&T Enthusiasts,” participated by 20 elementary and 20 high school students from Barangay Pag-asa, Quezon City. With this program, the PSHS system will bring these students to the event on July 27 for them to view the exhibits and also to attend a career-related talk.
The PHS system wants to expose the students to the NSTW to encourage them to pursue science courses in the future.
Admission to the SMX Convention Center is free.
