Noy performed below expectations — Good governance advocates
MANILA — President Aquino was rated 5.9 for 2014 on a scale of 1 to 10 in the performance scorecard of the multisectoral Movement for Good Governance (MGG).
The coalition said Aquino performed below expectations particularly on areas of public finance, agriculture, health and managing the economy.
Aquino’s score was below the 7.5 grade he had for the promises he made at the beginning of his term.
The score was the lowest compared to the 6.58 score given by MGG for 2013 and 5.66 in 2011.
The scorecard was based on a data-based assessment that does not rely on anecdotes, impressions and perception.
“The scorecard is a tool that can track program implementation,” MGG said.
It added that the system can direct attention to strengths and highlight the gaps.
“The assessment study is meant not to be a critique but a tool for identifying successes and alerting the government on areas that need strengthening and improvement,” it said.
