Poe still ‘weighing’, unsure about 2016 plans

MANILA — Senator Grace Poe has yet to decide on whether or not she will run for president in next year’s polls.
In a text message to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Poe said that she remains uncertain about her plans.
“Kasalukuyan ko pa ring sinusuri at tinitimbang ng buong katapatan ang aking puso at isipan patungkol sa hinaharap,” Poe said in a text message Tuesday.

Poe made the statement following reports that she is running for president in 2016.
Senators Sergio Osmeña III and Vicente “Tito” Sotto III earlier said that Poe will run for president next year.
In another text message, Poe also said that she remains independent in deciding on “important matters” in her life, though she consults her family and close friends “when necessary.

“What puts pressure on me is the matter of whether what I finally decide on is the right one for our country,” she added.
“Napakahalaga ng nakasalalay sa aking magiging disisyon. Bukod tangi dito ang nararapat na kahinatnan at marating ng ating bayang mahal sa susunod na anim na taon,” she said.
(My decision will have very important implications. The most important of which are our beloved country’s outlook and path in the next six years.)
