PH improves in travel competitiveness ranking
MANILA — The Philippines improved its ranking to 74th from 82nd in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2015.
It has ranked 14th out of the 23 countries in the Asia-Pacific.
Other countries in the list are Japan (9th), Singapore (11th), Hong Kong (13th), New Zealand (16th), China (17th), Malaysia (25th), South Korea (29th), Taiwan (32nd), Indonesia (50th) and India (52nd).
It got the score of 5.26 in terms of prioritization of travel and tourism.
The Philippines got a score of 3.84 in terms of safety and security; 5.4 in business environment.
In terms of health and hygiene the country got 4.79 and 3.71 in terms of information and communications.
In the area of human resources and labor market, the country got 4.59.
