MANILA — Atleast 190 villages were being flooded as southwest monsoon whipped Central Luzon.

Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office of Pangasinan reported that more villages were under water.

DRRMO chief Freddie Villacorta said in Philippine Daily Inquirer report said that as of Sunday Marusay river was already 2.74 meter above its normal level.

He added that the overflow cuts through the town and drains the Lingayen Gulf causing flood.

In Pangasinan, over 100 villages were reported to be flooded.Landslides in town of Bani and Bolinao were also recorded and dikes in Sta. Barbara, Binalonan and Lingayen were breached.

As of Sunday morning, 40 barangays were, meanwhile reported to be flooded in Pampanga.

The depth of flood ranged from 1 to 2 feet in villages in Pampanga while up to 3 feet was recorded in Bataan.

More than 4,000 families were affected by the flooding, according to officials.
