Escudero visits detained senators, asks for equal treatment
MANILA – A year after Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada and Ramon Revilla Jr. were detained after being linked to the multi-billion pork barrel scam, Senator Francis Escudero paid a visit and asked that they be treated justly.
“I pray for justice and equal treatment for them. They are doing well,” Escudero told reporters after his visit to the three senators.
Escudero also shared that he was delighted to see Estrada and Revilla at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center and Enrile at the PNP hospital. He even brought a chocolate cake to mark their anniversary.
