Two men die after falling off cliff at scenic lookout spot in western Alberta
NORDEGG, Alberta — RCMP say they’re investigating the possibility alcohol was involved in the deaths of two men who fell off a cliff at a scenic lookout spot near Nordegg, Alberta.
Cpl. Chris Smiley of the Rocky Mountain House RCMP says a 911 call was received Tuesday afternoon indicating the males had tumbled from the Crescent Falls Lookout.
Mounties, fire officials, EMS and a search and rescue team were dispatched and found the bodies at the bottom of the cliff.
They were recovered with the assistance of a rescue helicopter.
Smiley says the men were ages 34 and 20, and both were from the Rocky Mountain House area but their names won’t be released.
