Binay is “running scared” in polls
MANILA — Vice President Jejomar Binay admitted that he is “running scared” in the 2016 presidential elections, especially with the attacks thrown against him and his family.
Binay said that just like in the previous elections, he is scared and does not want to be overconfident during the campaign.
“Sabihin natin bawat pag kandidato I’m running scared but never be overconfident. Kaya mas maigi kapag may di magandang balita. Wake-up call,” he said.
(Let’s just say that everytime I run, I’m running scared but never be overconfident. That’s way it’s good to have negative news, as a wake-up call.)
He said that being overconfident will not help him in campaigns.
Despite admitting that he is scared, Binay is hopeful that he will still prevail in the end.
Though the Vice President denies that he is engaging in early campaigning, he was spotted visiting various provinces where his campaign jingle was also aired.
Binay visited several public markets and shook hands with the people and distributed goods and shirt.
