Mayors’ Council releases campaign budget information
VANCOUVER – The Mayors’ Council today released the details of their transit and transportation referendum campaign budget.
The final campaign budget for the Mayors’ Council education and information campaign to promote a “yes” vote was ,814,851.
As mandated through provincial legislation, the Mayors’ Council is funded through TransLink. In January, the TransLink Board allocated up to million to support the public outreach and engagement activities during the referendum vote.
The budget was overseen by a joint steering committee struck by the TransLink Board and the Mayors’ Council.
All contracts were allocated through TransLink’s procurement system, and all procurement guidelines were followed.
