Napoles daughter refuses to enter plea
MANILA — Jeane Catherine Napoles, daughter of Janet Lim-Napoles refused to enter a plea during her arraignment yesterday.
Because of this, Justices of the Cour of Tax Appeals (CTA) third division entered a not guilty plea for Napoles.
She is facing a P17.46-million case for failure to file an income tax return.
Napoles’ lawyer Stephen David told reporters that his client was advised not to enter plea so as not to prejudice any other legal remedy they are intending to avail.

The court denied Napoles’ motion for deferral of her arraignment pending the ruling of the Department of Justice (DOJ). Her camp earlier filed a petition for review.
CTA also rejected her motion questioning the resolution finding probable cause for the charges.
