MORE INFO: From Coast Salish territories to the Philippine islands, climate change has begun to impact vulnerable communities. UBC is screening two short films that explore the climate crisis:

“An Open Video Letter” from survivors of super typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan, and “Thicker Than Oil” by Vancouver youth that feature land defenders on Burnaby Mountain in Tsleil-Waututh territory.

The screening will be followed by a community forum with the filmmakers and storytellers from the front lines of the climate crisis.
