Construction worker attempts to jump off mall building

MANILA – Believed to be uder the influence of drugs, a construction worker attempted  to jump off a mall building in Cubao, Quezon City.

A radio report identified the worker as “Anthony,” a resident of Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.

According to the same report, Anthony, who was about to jump off the building were rescued by authorities.

At about 5 a.m. in Saturday, Anthony was seen hanging on top of the Farmers Plaza Building in Cubao.

Anthony said that six men were chasing him so went up the building to escape.

When the authorities confirmed that he is attempting to jump, several officials of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority immediately closed the loading bay near the mall along the northbound lane of EDSA.

A personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection rescued the man and both rappelled down the building safely.
