Napoles right hand occasionally introduces herself as Janet Napoles — Baltazar

MANILA — Mary Arlene Baltazar, the former bookkeeper of Janet Napoles testified at Sandiganbayan First Division on Monday that the most trusted right hand of Napoles plays double as she occasionally introduced herself as Janet Napoles.

Baltazar, during Monday’s bail hearing of Senator Jinggoy Estrada who is facing plunder, said Evelyn De Leon, sometimes acted on behalf of Napoles for certain implementing agencies.

“Siya po ang Janet Lim-Napoles Jr. May mga implementing agency na si Evelyn De Leon ay nagpapanggap na Janet Napoles. Kilala siya as Janet Napoles,” [She is Janet Lim-Napoles Jr. Evelyn De Leon occasionally introduce herself as Janet Napoles to some implementing agencies.] Baltazar said of De Leon.

De Leon is the head of a Napoles-linked non-government organization Philippine Social Development Foundation Inc. She is out on bail for 16 counts of graft in all three pork scam cases involving Senators Ramon Revilla Jr.

and Juan Ponce Enrile.

Estrada is presently detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center for plunder with a fellow senator Revilla, while Senator Enrile ,who is also detained at Camp Crame is under hospital arrest at the PNP General Hospital.

Napoles is detained in Camp Bagong Diwa female dormitory together with Enrile’s former chief of staff and co-accused Atty. Jessica Lucila Reyes.
