Former congressmen being considered to chair PCSO
MANILA, Philippines – Three ex-members of congress are being considered by President Aquino to fill the position vacated by former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) chairperson, Margie Juico.
Being weighed for the spot, which has remained vacant since May of this year, are Florencio Noel of the An Waray party-list group, Hernani Braganza of Pangasinan and Edgar San Luis of Laguna.
Juico resigned in May, amid rumours that she was made to let go of the post due to a situation involving Interior Secretary Mar Roxas and Juico’s husband, who is president of the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club. Roxas’ membership in the golf club was briefly suspended after he gave two of its employees a tongue-lashing.
The ex-PCSO chairperson said, however, that her resignation was on account of health reasons.
