Puerto Rico crowned Ms. International 2014
MANILA – Puerto Rico’s representative Valerie Hernandez was crowned Miss International 2014 on Tuesday, besting 72 other delegates including the country’s bet Maria Anna Bianca Guidotti.
Guidotti was not able to secure a place in the Top 10. The loss marks the first time since 2007 that the country was not included in the semifinal round of the beauty pageant.
Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago from the Philippines gave the crown to Hernandez during the coronation night at Tokyo, Japan.
The top five of this year’s Miss International include Colombia’s Zuleika Suárez (1st runner up), Thailand’s Punika Kulsoontornrut (2nd runner up), United Kingdom’s Victoria Tooby (3rd runner up), and Finland’s Milla Romppanen (4th runner up).
