“Bwakaw” wins Best Script award at international film fest

MANILA – Jun Robles Luna’s “Bwakaw” recently won the Best Script award during the 14th Pyongyang International Film Festival held last September 15-24, 2014 at Pyongyang North Korea.

“Bwakaw” was first shown two years ago at the 8th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival.

“Two years after I made the film, ‘Bwakaw’ continues to travel and reach people around the world.

Today I have just been informed by our sales agent Fortissimo Films that ‘Bwakaw’ won the ‘Best Script Award’ at the 2014 Pyongyang International Film Festival held in North Korea last month.

“Bwakaw” tells the story of a 70-ish gay man who finds happiness while talking care of a dog called Bwakaw.
