Kobe Paras receives NCAA scholarship offer
MANILA – Former La Salle Greenhills player Kobe Paras received a scholarship offer from NCAA university UCLA.
Paras expressed his excitement and joy after getting the offer from UCLA through his Twitter account.
He reposted the tweets of @VerbalCommits, @Compton_Magic, and @Team_Bayless.
Los Angeles Times also confirmed the report.
Paras used to play for La Salle Greenhills in the junior division of NCAA prior to moving to Los Angeles. He will make his debut next month for the LA Cathedral.
He is best known for his stunning leaping ability wherein he dunked past LeBron James during the latter’s visit to Manila in 2013.
Since then, Paras strived to improve his game especially his outside shot.
Aside from UCLA, he also received offers from various schools which include Arizona State, University of California-Berkley, UC Irvine, Portland State, Fresno State, and Texas Arlington.
Paras still need to make official visits to the aforementioned schools.
