Two people wounded in shooting in northwest Toronto, nearby schools locked down
TORONTO — Two people are wounded following a shooting in Toronto’s northwest end.
Paramedics confirm that a call for help was made around 12:30 p.m. and crews arrived on the scene a short time later.
The shooting incident occurred in the area of Dixon Road and Islington Avenue, near the School of Experiential Education.
Nearby schools including Don Bosco Catholic Secondary School have been placed on lockdown as a precaution.
There’s no immediate word on the severity of the injuries to the two victims.
