Senator Binay questions Roxas on DILG’s DAP funds
MANILA — Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas was scrutinized for the funds that his department received through the controversial Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP).
He was scrutinized by Senator Nancy Binay, a member of the opposition.
Binay questioned Roxas over the DAP funds that allegedly went directly to his department.
Responding to Binay’s queries, Roxas said explained how the funds were spent every year.
Roxas, who lost to Vice President Jejomar Binay during the 2010 elections, is now urged by the Liberal Party to run for president in the coming 2016 elections.
In case he decides to run, Roxas will be competing again with the vice president who has earlier expressed his willingness to run in the 2016 polls.
