Fil-Am dance group Jabbawockeez nominated for 2 Streamy awards
Fil-American dance group, the Jabbawockeez, one of the most successful dance groups the world over, are in the running for two awards at the upcoming 4th Annual Streamy Awards for their video, “Regenerate.”
The Streamy Awards, which will be held on September 7 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, recognizes the best online videos in America.
The Jabbawockeez have been nominated for Best Dance Channel and Best Choreography for their post-apocalyptic dance video “Regenerate;” which has been viewed over three million times since it was released in February 2014.
“It was amazing. It was a passion project that we put up. For people to respond to it the way that they did, it was pretty awesome. We’re grateful for it,” the group members said.
The highly acclaimed dance group has been busy with regular shows in Las Vegas, and different dance concerts and tours across the USA.
“We’re still doing well, you know, five days a week,” the group said, in reference to their Vegas shows.
There are 47 categories in the Streamy Awards, including two Audience Choice Awards. Winners in 16 categories will be announced live at the September 7 program. Winners in the other categories will be honored at an earlier reception at the YouTube Space LA in Playa Vista, California.
Other nominees for the Streamy Awards include Hollywood celebrities and several of the Internet’s current most popular stars.
