President Aquino to visit Europe, US next month

Aquino III will visit Europe and the United States next month in a bid to further strengthen the country’s trade and commerce ties with these countries.
President Aquino said the Philippines aims to attract more trade and investments from Spain, France, Germany and Belgium.
“Maraming mga kumpanyang nagpakita ng interes na mamuhunan lalo na ngayon at first time nating bibiyahe dito sa mga bansang ito kung saan, well, dalawang pakay: one, as usual, makipag-ugnayan na mas mabuti dito sa mga bansang binanggit; number two, iyong komersyo nga mapalawak,” he said during an interview with Bombo Radyo Philippines on Wednesday.
The Chief Executive said more investments are expected to pour into the country’s manufacturing sector.
In Europe, President Aquino said he will speak to leaders of the European Union to discuss the country’s peace efforts, the conditions there of Filipino seamen as well as thank them for lifting the ban on entry of Philippine aircrafts.
In the United States, the President said he will speak at the Global Climate Change Summit, upon the invitation of United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon.
He said the Philippines during the Summit will share its experience in addressing global climate change and adaptation.
President Aquino said his visit takes about two days in each country.
