Manila towing firm employees suspended indefinitely
MANILA – A Manila towing firm was suspended by the city government due to numerous complaints, mostly on social networking sites.
An initial investigation indicated that the firm has been towing vehicles without properly informing the respective owners.
Vice Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said in a statement for the Philippine Daily Inquirer that he ordered the suspension of RWM Towing Services Inc.
“I have directed Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau Director Carter Logica to suspend indefinitely two of the tow trucks of RWM Towing and four of its personnel,” the vice mayor said.
Though there will not be any charges against them for committing the offense, the suspension will immobilize the firm as they are temporarily prevented from operating in the City of Manila.
Meanwhile, motorists were urged to continue reporting any violations to the city government.
