Napoles continues bail hearing

MANILA – The alleged pork barrel scam mastermind, Janet Lim-Napoles appeared Friday, at the Sandiganbayan to continue her bail hearing.

Accompanied by a high-security convoy, Napoles arrived at around 7 a.m in the morning with a group from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.

Napoles arrived early this time, following her missed hearings because of arriving late.

During last month’s hearing, Napoles arrived around 12 noon, minutes after the hearing was over.

After failing to attend on time, she was questioned by the Sandiganbayan’s third division chair Presiding Justice Amparo Cabotaje-Tang.

Napoles was then defended by her lawyers who said that they were not aware of the produce order which was issued the day before she was asked to appear in court.

Napoles is now detained following charges of plunder against her for being the alleged mastermind in the P10-billion pork barrel scam.
