MANILA – Following reports on the alleged bribery of several prosecutors of the Maguindanao massacre case, the Palace assures the public that there will be no cover up in the investigation.

The statement was released after Justice Secretary Leila de Lima’s made an order asking the National Bureau of Investigation to investigate the allegations.

“Secretary of Justice Leila de Lima will not cover for anyone who is doing a wrongdoing and that’s why NBI is there to investigate all these allegations,” Lacierda said.

“I will ask the NBI to investigate the alleged P300- million offer to Atty. Nena [Santos] and also the allegation that the panel had been bribed. Even the panel is asking for the investigation because it’s so unfair to have those accusations,” she said.
