Solons endorse PNoy impeachment raps

MANILA – Making the first valid attempt to impeach President Aquino, three party-list representatives endorsed an impeachment complaint filed by 28 militant groups.

Neri Colmenares and Carlos Zarate of Bayan Muna and Fernando Hicap of Anakpawis, said in separate resolutions that they have found the complaint “sufficient in form and substance.

”

All the three endorsers were belonging to the Makabayan bloc formerl led by Bayan Muna Rep. Satur Ocampo who was with the representatives during the event and said that he was there to give his moral support to the representatives.

Other complainants include Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption, Confederation for Unity, Recognition and Advancement of Government Employees, Citizens Crime Watch, Migrante, Kilusang Mayo Uno, and Scrap Pork Network.

Individual complainants included retired Archbishop Oscar Cruz, Bishop Emergencio Padillo of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines, Bishop Joselito Cruz of Iglesia Filipina Independiente, former representatives Lisa Maza of Gabriela and Rafael Mariano of Anakpawis, and Concepcion Empeño, mother of missing student activist Karen Empeño.
