Phl to join World Travel Market in London
MANILA — With the goal of taking part on Europe’s tourism market, the Philippines will be joining the World Travel Market (WTM) on Nov. 3-6 in London.
The Department of Tourism said in a statement that the move is important for tourism stakeholders and major players.
This is because, doing a business-to-business meetings with their foreign counterparts is essential in promoting the country’s tourism.
The department said it will be a great opportunity for the Philippines to present wide range and a variety of tourism hotspots, tour packages and investment opportunities.
Adding that networking opportunities is also among the country’s goals in joining the WTM, the DOT said it will be the country’s chance to trade, network and conduct business globally.
Expected attendees to the WTM includes more than 50,000 global travel professionals and some 5,000 international exhibitors.
